Studio MDHR surprised everyone with not one but two Cuphead projects: a full sequel and a pixel-art spin-off titled Mighty Cuphead Adventure (paying homage to the Sega 精通 系统 era). The sequel trailer showed new bosses, new weapons, and the signature 1930s hand-drawn animation style. Neither project has a release date yet.
